RABBIT EYES

Rabbit eyes are located on the sides of their heads and come in several colors including pink.

A rabbit can see better to the side, behind or above.

Rabbits have a blind spot right in front of them.

Rabbits have very limited color vision.  They can tell green from blue.

Baby bunnies open their eyes at about 10 days old.

Rabbits can detect movement from long distances.

Your rabbit can see better than you do in dim light.

A rabbit will recognize your shape, smell and voice to get a picture of you.

I always say "hello" to my rabbits when I see them in case I am wearing a big overcoat, or carrying an object and my shape isn't familiar.  Rabbits recognize shapes first.
